I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe system running a raid setup and am unable to load windows vista. I have tried running every version of the asus drivers, have reset bios settings to default and I am still unable to load vista. Vista can see the incompatable drivers in the 3.5" drive, but will not load them. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Silicon Image 3114 Vista Driver
I went to the www.siimage.com and downloaded the newest SATARAID 5 driver for Windows XP for my 32 Bit Vista Beta 2 install and it was able to see my JBOD raid disk. Should work for 64 bit too if you get the XP64/2003 ones.

Although it is probably now fixed, on earlier builds we had to put all the driver files in the root directory on the floppy to get Vista to load the drivers.

I have the A8N-SLI Premium with 2 SATA Hard Drives in Raid 0 using the Silicon Image 3114 Driver and I was unable to boot windows also.
The way I got Vista to work was in the boot menu it gives you the option of pressing F8 for advanced options and in there if you run it without enforcing signatures on the drivers Vista was able to boot.
So in short I would assume that the Silicon Image 3114 driver is not signed and therefore you need to turn off signature enforcement so it will utilize the driver
I hope that can help

had the same problem. tried everything and still no go. Then I loaded the IDE Drivers and everything went smooth. I am running 2 200 GB Maxtor SATA drives on the SIL onboard in raid 0. the only thing I did different from fail to success was load the (manufactures ) IDE drivers. hope this helps Bob
